Rubber mattings
General information:
Rubber matting may be used to line the floors in vehicles and premises intended for temporary stay of people, provided that „Z” type standard matting and „O” type oil-resistant matting are not recommended for the conditions, in which it may be exposed to sunlight. In such case „A” type matting should be used – resistant to atmospheric conditions.
Matting may be lined as follows:
– laid-up freely – without gluing on fixed surface e.g. concrete, wood, metal, etc.
– glued to surface with glues commonly used in the construction industry for rubber matting or any other glues recommended by the manufacturers.
It is recommended to unfold the matting intended for gluing and leave freely for the period of several days for better „matching” the surface. Surface, on which the matting is to be glued, should be prepared in line with commonly adopted principles of gluing technique (important: surface must be clean and degreased) or in line with detailed instructions provided by glue manufacturers.
Type:
Depending on properties of rubber mixture applied for matting manufacturing, three types of mattings are distinguished:
Z – general purpose rubber matting (SBR), only for indoor use, application temperature: -30C to +70C.
O – oil-resistant rubber matting (NBR/SBR), application temperature: -30C to +100C.
A – rubber matting resistant to atmospheric conditions (EPDM), for indoor and outdoor use, application temperature: -40C to +100C (periodically to +120C).
Rubber matting parameters:
Basic matting parameters:
a) tensile strength – min. 2MPa
b) elongation at break – min. 150%
c) resistance to ASTCUBIC M oil, change of volume – max. 30%, (100C/70h), concerns O type matting,
d) resistance to ageing in air, hardness change – max. 10Sh, (100C/70h), concerns A type matting,
e) hardness, density and color

Ryfel WT-32/05/BZPG (Checker)
Usable surface of rubber matting is a checkered surface, consisting in longitudinal checkers of 1 or 1.5 mm height. The bottom surface features a textile imprint. The matting may be enforced with textile interlayer.
Checker height (mm) | 1,0 | 1,5 |
Upper checker surface width (mm) | 4,0 | 1,0 |
Distance between upper checker surfaces (mm) | 5,0 | 2,0 |
Metro WT-32/05/BZPG
Usable surface of rubber layers is formed in the vulcanization process. This knurled surface consists of rings of 0.5 mm or 1.0 mm height and app. 24 mm diameter – bottom surface features a textile imprint. The matting may be enforced with textile interlayer.
For the matting of ring height of 1 mm at the usable surface, minor linear prominences along the matting resulting from manufacturing technology are permissible.
Rampa WT-32/10/BZPG
Usable surface of RAMPA matting is formed in the vulcanization process, with elongated strip of 8 mm height and 24 mm width. Bottom surface features a textile imprint. The matting may be enforced with textile interlayer.
